SIGN ON NOW: Stop Trump from making Milwaukee the next city occupied by the National Guard. 

Right wing extremists in Wisconsin — including GOP Governor candidates and the head of the Milwaukee Police Association — are calling on Trump to send the National Guard to Milwaukee.

Trump’s decision to send federal troops into U.S. cities is a dangerous abuse of power and a direct threat to our democracy. Our cities are not war zones, and our fellow Americans are not enemy combatants.

This is not law and order — it is authoritarianism. Using military force to strike fear into Americans and suppress dissent undermines the Constitution and the freedoms it is meant to protect.

Our nation was founded on the principle that democracy is a government of, by, and for the people. Our government is supposed to drive power from the consent of its citizens — not from fear, intimidation, or force. 

We need leaders like Andy Beck in Congress who will oppose this reckless use of power and stand up for the rule of law. With Trump in office, and boot-lickers like Scott Fitzgerald in Congress enabling the erosion of our democracy, our basic freedoms are at stake.
